Surprise registered on the faces of those inside the principal's office, particularly the principal, who seemed unable to believe his abrupt entrance.
"Daddy!" Venice immediately exuded joy upon seeing him, and still not content with seeing him, as she ran towards him.
He was surprised to see her so happy, considering that for almost a week, she had been with him in America. Only now did he witness her lively and joyful demeanor, especially since she was not yet accustomed to the new environment.
However, her happiness appeared to be genuinely expressed, even within the principal's office.
As the memory of what he had overheard outside the office resurfaced, Victor couldn't suppress the disdain in his gaze toward the principal.
How dare he utter such things to this child! It appeared that the principal was oblivious to whom he was challenging.
