The City of New lanterns
Alessandro parked his car in front of Lilian's house.
"on a scale of one to ten, how mad are your parents going to be?" he asked.
"Very mad, I have never spent the night out before."
"Are you serious?" Alessandro asked.
"Yes."
"Oh shit, I am so sorry."
Lilian was amused at how worried he looked.
"It's okay, you need to join me inside." she told him.
"But i do, it's my fault you stayed out." he told her.
Without giving her a chance to explain, he stood up and opened the car door.
Lilian sighed and opened her own door as well.
Together they entered inside the house. Lilian's aunt was already inside waiting for them, her eyes blazed with fire.
"Do you have any idea what time it is?" she asked Lilian.
"It's morning ma'am"
"Oh is it? I thought we were still in the middle of the night." her aunt replied.
