Nemus' voice was strained, his face a cauldron of unspoken words.
Before Atasha could respond, Howl interjected, his sharp, biting words cutting through the heavy atmosphere.
"Well, isn't this a touching scene? A little too melodramatic for my taste, though." His comment earned him scowls from Nemus and Regalus.
Atasha held her throbbing head, shooting Howl a disapproving look. 'Can't you just stay quiet and not say anything annoying even for a moment?' she thought.
However, her plain dismissal only caused the man to feel strangely bitter and dissatisfied.
Seeing her wrapped in Zethus' arms made Howl feel strangely awful and upset. While observing her gentle and obedient demeanor around her husbands, he felt an urge to disrupt the picture-perfect scene that he wasn't a part of.
