She knelt down in the study and let Snowball down on the ground. He mewled in excitement and bounded across the room toward where Phoenix reclined on a couch, reading.
The cat jumped up on the sofa and flopped over onto his back next to his father. Phoenix smiled and reached a hand over to pet him gently.
"...Oh hey," Tenshi greeted Isabelle when he noticed her entering the room. He pulled up another chair close to him and patted the cushion invitingly with a gentle smile.
Isabelle gladly strode over to take a seat, a soft, satisfied sigh escaping her.
The younger man flashed her a sweet little smile and snuggled close against her side, wrapping an arm around her shoulder and pressing a kiss onto her cheek. "Missed you..." he breathed softly against her skin, eyes falling closed, savoring her warmth and proximity.
He was really just such a precious little angel...
