She was sore and exhausted, and the bed was warm and soft.

A cute little kitten kept patting her nose with a paw and then mewling.
There'd be a slight pause, as if that little kitten was aiming, a soft plop of a paw on her nose, and then a plaintive little mew. And then it would repeat.
Her eyelids cracked open to reveal a pair of huge blue eyes gazing down at her face intently. A soft little pink tongue darted out to swipe across its white muzzle and brush against its whiskers.
It stared at her with an adorably intent look, as if somehow she had the answer to some secret of the universe.
She grumbled. "Go wake up your papa..."
The cat meowed insistently and tapped her nose.
She scrunched up her nose. "Nnh."
Tap, tap, tap, went the little paws.
She opened one eye again.
The little kitten stared at her.
