...Well he wasn't a cat (or actually a fox!), she supposed. He'd still bathe even if he didn't care for rain, just as he sometimes drank wine with everyone even though he didn't like alcohol.

She probably could have dragged him out of the tent to come play with them, but he looked so pitiful when she suggested doing so that she couldn't bear it.
Phoenix shook his head as he leaned back from the campfire. "You know, the cabin is really not far from here. The beds are much more comfortable there."
"Mm! We are camping out!!" She insisted. "We are camping, and we are bonding in this lovely forest, and a little rain won't stop us!"
