On their way back home from the office, they went to the hospital to meet Dan; their bodyguard who had been shot. He had finally gained consciousness and his life was out of danger. Doctors had called it a miracle that he had survived after so much bleeding.
"How are you, Dan?" Zyair asked, carefully shaking his hand, which still had a branula and drip attached to it.
"Healing and alive, I can't complain, Sir. But I am ashamed that I couldn't protect your home. I failed in my duty." He seemed ashamed of himself, his face ashen and pale.
"Don't worry about it. What's done is done. Now we know what to expect from the enemy. Security has been tripled." Zyair assured him.
"Yes, focus on healing for now and get better." Skyla spoke up from beside Zyair, giving him a small smile.
"Has the culprit been caught or any leads?" Dan hopefully inquired.
