Chapter 3 - Big News

The next day, the news of Adrian Foster's accident spread across the news, as he was a very famous and wealthy man. They immediately highlighted the accident case and found out the cause of the accident.

No one knows how the reporters found the hospital where Adrian was treated, but some reporters insisted on entering and interviewing the man.

Guards were deployed to block and even chase them away.

"This is a hospital, don't make a scene here!" they shouted, pushing the reporters away from the hospital.

Adrian himself was moved to a VIP room in the hospital under heavy guard. He suffered a broken bone in his left arm and several other injuries to his head and body. However, luckily he is fine and has not suffered any serious trauma.

"So there was a motorcycle coming towards you and you tried to avoid it and ended up crashing into a tree?" asked a ginger-haired woman.

The same woman Avians had met earlier.

The man sighed and nodded. He admitted that he was drunk that night and went to drive his car, because he was not focused and there was a motorcycle traveling very fast, he slammed the steering wheel and hit a nearby tree.

"You idiot, why did you drive your car when you were drunk?!" the woman snapped at her brother's forehead.

"Ouch, my wound is still new, Elena! It's all because of mom who keeps forcing me to marry the woman she wants. I'm so sick of it..." Adrian said to his sister.

Elena could understand that her brother was already preoccupied with his job as CEO of his family's company, TechNC. Plus now that their mother wanted him to marry the woman she wanted, it must have been a lot of pressure for Adrian.

She knew for a fact that her brother was very picky about who he got close to and talked to. He might seem very friendly on the outside, but he was actually very picky. The man could tell who he could talk to and who he couldn't.

But Elena knew that her brother was a good and responsible person.

"I know, but don't put yourself in danger like this. It's lucky that there were no casualties from your accident. If there had been, your name would have been tarnished," Elena said, touching Adrian's hand.

Adrian was glad that he had an older sister who understood him, since they lost their father who was very wise in dealing with their mother who wanted too much and ruled at will.

"So... Who took me to the hospital? I heard that my car was destroyed by fire at the scene. Someone must have pulled me out before my car caught fire, right?" Adrian asked Elena.

"Yes, I heard that. But by the time I got here, she had already left. She even left your cell phone with the nurse. She didn't leave any name or identification either," Elena replied.

"So she's a woman. She saved my life. I must express my gratitude to her."

Actually, when the accident happened, he was still semi-conscious but unable to move his body or open his eyes. He could clearly hear a woman's voice calling out to him.

His elder sister heard from the nurse that the woman had long black hair that almost covered part of her face. But she was sure she could see the color of her eyes, which were blue.

"There are a lot of women who have such characteristics. It's very common. We can't possibly find her just by those characteristics," Adrian said.

"It's difficult to use as information. But I feel like I know the characteristics of that woman, but where..."

Elena tried to remember and she realized that the woman who collided with her last night was a woman who had the same characteristics. But she wasn't sure if it was her or not and who she was.

"Even if you look at the CCTV, it won't be clear who she is... Could it be..."

The man remembered the dashcam of his car. The woman's face could have been seen on the dashcam. But Elena said that Adrian's car was so damaged, she doubted whether the dashcam was still working properly or not.

"We have a lot of employees who are very good at technology and some are experts in things like this. I'm sure one of them can fix it. If not, we'll find whoever can do it. I need to know who that woman is," Adrian said in a serious tone.

"Haa... Alright then. I'll try to contact someone to take your car's dashcam and fix it," Elena said.

*****

Two days passed, and Adrian was allowed to leave the hospital. They questioned the CEO of the big company about the actual accident. But they only replied that Adrian was trying to avoid a motorcyclist traveling in the opposite direction from him, without mentioning that he was drunk that night.

"Then are you going to look for the motorist, Mr. Adrian?"

"Is it possible that someone did it on purpose to harm you?"

The reporters kept asking the man who was trying to get into his car. Adrian just smiled kindly and got inside with Elena and drove away from the hospital.

"Haa... They're still demanding answers that don't matter," Adrian said.

"That's how they are. By the way, I got the information about your car's dashcam. It's in pretty bad shape, but one of our technicians can fix it, but it'll take a while. Maybe one to two weeks at the earliest," Elena explained.

Adrian who heard it could only sigh, he had to wait that long for his dashcam to be repaired which whether the night's footage would survive or not.

"No matter what happens, we have to get the footage of the night of the accident and see who the woman who saved me was."

At the same time, the Avians were watching the news of Adrian's recent discharge from hospital. They did not expect this to happen to someone like Adrian.

"It's a pity that he had to get into that accident. It's a good thing his handsome face is okay," Zoey commented as she prepared to go to the office that day. She had already put on her suit and styled her hair as nicely as possible.

Meanwhile, the Avians, who were watching the television from behind them, were relieved that Adrian was okay and had now returned home.

She had been so worried about leaving him alone that night. For two days, she kept thinking about Adrian's condition. Until now, no one knew that she had brought Adrian to the hospital. Even if she said it, no one would believe her.

'Thank God... He's fine. I hope he'll get better soon.'
