When he heard Zac's voice, Corbin doubted for a moment that this boy would shoot him. However, he couldn't help but hesitate to act while he was in the sights of a damn shotgun.
Even if Zac didn't have the balls to kill him, the slightest carelessness on this young man's part could result in a terrible situation for Corbin.
He didn't ask how Zac had gotten to him or how he had broken into his apartment and just tried to put the boy down.
"Man, put the gun down. If you want to talk, let's do it like civilized people." He suggested as one of his hands went to the gun behind his waistband.
"I know you have a gun behind you, Corbin. Put your hands in the air and turn your back to me." Zac said menacingly, keeping his distance from his target.
Corbin froze when he heard that, seeing that Zac not only knew what he was up to but was smart enough to keep his distance from him.
