The air at the airport felt quite different from that in New York City. As soon as Selene's feet hit the ground, she felt just how much she had missed the place. She held Brandon's arm steadily as it was quite crowded at the airport.
"Welcome back, Sweetheart," Dean said, smiling broadly at her. Selene smiled back, shrugging her shoulders as memories swam back into her mind.
"Grandpa, Grandpa carry me up," Brandon called jumping as he tugged on Dean's trousers.
"Brandon, we're getting into this car, you can sit next to grandpa, if that's what you want," Selene said, getting the door for the excited boy.
"Mom, did you promise that I'll meet Bryson and Breanna later?" Brandon asked excitedly, reminding Selene of how curious Breanna always was. She couldn't help but wonder what they behaved like after all those years.
