"You sure you wanna know and help? It is not pleasant." Min Jun asked one last time before talking about his most non-proud deeds.
"Yes." Young Jae was determined to pay back to the guy who cooked him the most delicious meal in the last few days. If listening to his problem and help him find an answer was an option, then definitely he wants to do it without any second thought.
Min Jun couldn't help but smile at the weak guy in front of him. Young Jae looking eager to help and take care of his cousin's junior just because his cousin cares about the other guy. The attitude earned respect from Min Jun.
"Have you ever regretted the life decisions that you made as a teenager, Young Jae Hyung? Something you chose without thinking but regretted a lot later in your life? The most stupid decision..." Min Jun asked. His voice sounded distant like he was drowning in thoughts.
Irrespective of the older one looking more younger, Min Jun didn't forget to address the other as Hyung. The difference may be almost two years, but still, respect should be given. And Young Jae earned it with his attitude towards everything that happened around him from the time Min Jun met him.
Young Jae nods his head. 'Obviously, I have.'
How can he not? He had two relationships, and both were a blunder. He at least grew out of the pain from the first-ever relationship that he had one sidely.
Young Jae couldn't decide. If Jo Rim, his first crush was worse than Ki Hoon Joo or Hoon Joo was worse than Jo Rim. Both were A-grade as*hole who could compete for the throne of douchebaggery.
"Yep, I have done something idiotic. It was... not a... I don't know how to say! I chose the wrong person to date..." Young Jae said with a smile that looked more like a grimace.
"At least it was something close to relationship!" Min Jun couldn't help but let out a sigh.
Young Jae couldn't help but let out a cold laugh at the comment.
For the first time, Min Jun noticed the suppressed anger making a slight guest appearance in Young Jae. His aura turned hostile.
Young Jae would have closed himself off to anyone who was in front of him at this point. But he didn't want to do it with Min Jun. Young Jae felt like he owed Min Jun for cooking for him in the last few days and also taking care of him while his cousin was away. So he decided just to listen and never talk about his life to a stranger whom he met less than 24 hours ago.
"Have you ever met someone who would fuck a person in the morning and another by the evening? Having different fuck buddies each month? Always made sure that he never has any emotions towards his fuck buddies? And worse of all, leaving the fuck buddies if they develop a feeling, without a second thought?" Min Jun asked with bitterness evidently raw on his voice.
Young Jae's heart almost stopped. Eyes being bounded to the bandage, Young Jae felt he could feel the emotions through the voice and tone.
Min Jun only expressed little anger and teasing banter in the morning with Young Jae's cousin. There were no strong emotions before.
Young Jae was trying to understand the bitterness and pain in Min Jun's voice, but he didn't know how to do it.
No one showed their emotions properly when he was growing up. So he always felt clueless in handling others emotions. He was lost, but he wanted to say something.
And he blurted out the first thing that came to his mind.
"You fell in love with such a monster and got your heart broken?" Young Jae regretted his choice of words, especially calling Min Jun's romantic interest as a monster.
If his eyes were not bounded, he would have blinked frantically in panic.
Instead of getting offended, Min Jun let out a hearty laughter. With no trace of bitterness and pain. As if it never existed in the first place.
"You and BB will get along really well. Both of you have a similar viewpoint on this one for sure" Min Jun said breathlessly after his laughter.
Young Jae still felt the awkwardness pressing like an elephant on his chest, irrespective of Min Jun's laughter. So he decided to divert the topic only to make it more awkward.
"Well… So… hmm… did you get hurt… I mean heartbroken by her?" Young Jae couldn't help but ask nervously.
He was familiar with playboys but playgirls? He knew some girls tend to stay on two or three boats at the same time. But multiple partners and having sex... That too changing partners quite often made him wonder, 'maybe it is common in the current generation. Who knew the trend changed in the last couple of years. I was busy trying to make a living after getting kicked out of the house and society changed way too much???!!!'
"Her? No! Hell No! He would be a better term." A soft laugh escaped Min Jun.
Knowing that the person he had been talking to was gay like him made Young Jae feel little giddy and delighted. He didn't come across many gay people in his life so far. But he found his cousin was one and then also his cousin's junior also having same sexuality, made him happy.
"I am sorry. Please don't mistake me. I didn't know you are also gay." Young Jae sincerely apologised for assuming.
"No issues. We live in a society where people assume others as heterosexual as it was a majority and society is still not even open to the idea of homosexuality." The soft voice of Min Jun comforted him right away.
Young Jae felt heard even without saying a word. Min Jun's comment felt more authentic about society's current viewpoint. Everyone assumed heterosexuality as normal and viewed homosexuality abnormal. Even though they are in the 21st century, narrow-minded people are all over the place.
There was a domestic silence that fell upon them.
"No… The monster didn't hurt me… The monster didn't break my heart… I am that monster." Min Jun declared making Young Jae panic internally one more time.
