Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 - Saved by the Annoying Dude

Sending of Mister Fred off, Eloise happily walked around on deck. Just like in titanic, there were few canoes tied to the side and placed on the floor as well. "Let me see, which one would it be?" she walked around briskly but she was not able to find it.

She huffed and walked back down to bring one of them up. The golden tooth man was sobbing so loudly that it hurt her head, so she chose the black shirt man. The captain untied him and tied his hands back.

"Let's go," she walked confidently up to the deck and gestured for the guy to tell her.

The black shirt man subtly glanced side to side.

"Don't think about escaping.... besides where can you go? You can jump down, but I think you would not want to be shark bait right," Eloise giggled.

Over there," he pointed to the furthest canoe.

"Good," Eloise strode over, followed by the man held by the captain.

But the man took this chance while she was looking away to throw off the captain's hold and free himself. He ran towards her at high speed.

"Lady Ayles!!!"

Eloise glanced back in shock. It was too late to move out of way. 'If he dashes into me, I might go overboard,' she thought, closing her eyed in fear.

But all of a sudden a hand gripped her waist and pulled her to the side. This person just held out his leg, tripping the runaway sailor as well.

"Oh, I think just stepped on some trash." A hoarse voice whispered near her ear.

Feeling this person's warm breath, she jumped back away from him holding her ears. "Thank you, sire." She whispered and glanced up at him to find an annoying face smiling at her. "Oh it's you," her smiled waned away into a frown.

"I'm offended, lady Ayles. I just helped you and this is the thanks is get. So not up to expectation," he whispered tussling though his raven back hair.

The nearby crowd started murdering amongst themselves, throwing glances at her and the stupid guy.

Eloise rolled her eyes. "Yes, thank you so much sire, if not for you my life would have been gone and my body to the ocean," she said sarcastically.

"Yes, I think the lady finally understands," Raymond smirked devilishly. "Now I'm at your assistance. Let me deal with this," he subtly kicked the man groaning on the floor.

"No thank you sire, I can handle it on my own," she smiled but her trembling lips gave away her dislike. 'Darn this guy, why is he here? He did save my life, but he is soooo annoying. Every word he says infuriates me so much,' she bit the insides of her cheeks. 'So he wants to help huh, let him. I will think of it as free labour,'

"Lady?"

"Yes sir, then I shall take your assistance. Please help me with him and I have some help needed there as well," she pointed to the canoe that was tied to the side. "Please make sure to find my gold kind, sir,"

Raymond bowed to her and got to work. First, he tied up the petty thief and threw him to the captain. "Captain, I thought it was a life necessity to learn how to tie sturdy knots. Looks like you hand has become sloppy,"

The captain trembled. He knew exactly who this man is. "Du.."

"Shh, call me sire Ray,"

"Sire Ray, I—I..... It was my mistake. Please forgive me," he bowed deeply.

"I don't deserve such display of respect sire, please go on and contain him. I shall make sure to serve the lady well," he said, glancing at the pouting Eloise.

Eloise looked at Captain Ryan intently. 'Don't go, dude, don't leave. I don't want to be alone with..."

"I shall take my leave then," the captain bowed down more and dragged the petty thief away.

'Fuck,' Eloise could not hold her smile anymore. She strode over to the canoe herself and glanced in. There was a small hatch on the side to store emergency rations. She pulled it open, but the gold was nowhere. 'Is it just a bar of gold? I hope I'm not wasting time on this,'

"Let me my lady," Raymond gestured for her to move away. "I see you are still wearing your peculiar outfit,"

Huffing, she stepped back with her hands folded over her chest. "I didn't know that sire was not aware what a riding outfit is,"

"Oh, I am well aware. But it is a peculiar sight for someone to wear it on a luxury ship don't you agree," he suddenly moved close, "and..... without underclothes on,"

Eloise slammed his mouth shut. "Don't start with me sire, I have a feisty temper."

Raymond removed her soft hands from his mouth. "I am getting acquainted with it as well,"

"Fucker," she softly mumbled.

Raymond glanced back and laughed out loud. "Little kitten," he leaned down and punched the bottom of the canoe. A secret compartment was revealed, holding bars and bars of gold neatly stacked inside. "Congratulation my lady, your wealth has been restored,"

The crowd clapped loudly at his brave actions, while Eloise glared at him. 'I did so much work to find it, yet he got all the glory. Hump who cares about that, our wealth is restored. Mum won't have wallow in her misery anymore,'
