Chapter 24 - Chapter 24 - Dance With The Duke

Eloise's eyes widened in shock. "Let go of Me." she glared up at him.

"When you are dancing, it is normal to get closer," he whispered placing his head near her neck and gently breathed in her heavily smell.

Eloise tried pushing him away, but the brute was fucking strong. After trying for a while, she glanced up at the others. The music was still perky, and the others were happily dancing as a group without even touching hands! "Get off of me, you fucking pervert," she pushed at his shoulders.

"shhh, we are dancing," he gently swayed from right to left.

"They are all dancing as a group," Eloise whispered in a cold tone. She pulled his head up. "You better let go or I shall scream."

Raymond sighed and lifted his head up. He glanced over to the group, who were cheerfully dancing with a frown. "Well, the music is too perky for my liking." He pulled a man who was passing on nearby by his collar. "Change the music to a slow one,"

The man started sweating. "ye...s my lord, definitely. I will convey it to the music group."

Immediately the music changed to a slow one. The people who were dancing happily all stood confused. But they composed themselves and started dancing in pairs, slowly swaying to the beat.

"Is that to your liking or shall I order the song to be changed again," he challengingly glanced into her doe-like eyes. Her clear blue eyes met his without blinking. 'Looking closely she looks pretty indeed.' His heart beat slowly sped up.

Eloise sighed. "Just one dace and you bugger off got it,"

"Got it." he let go of her waist and gently tugged her to the dance floor. His eyes shimmered in the evening lights. "Shall have the honor to be your first dance?" He glanced back with a small smile.

Eloise's heart went soft for a second, forgetting that this man was a ruthless idiot who will threaten her for fun. She gently placed a hand on his shoulders. "I.... really don't know to dance," she whispered with a slight blush on her face.

As soon as they went over to the dance floor, the entire crowd stopped, gazing at them in awe. Some with envy.

She gulped a little and moved away from him for a step.

Sensing this, he wound a hand around her waist and pulled her closer to his body. "Eloise,"

She glanced up.

"Don't look at others. Look only at me. I shall guide you through this dance."

Eloise nodded, still looking into his deep dark eyes. She could almost make out her reflection in them.

He stepped forward, and instinctively she moved back.

He smirked at her. "That's it, Eloise, you are doing well. Just move with me."

Eloise's heart thudded. Just the way he uttered her name made her heart flutter. The small hairs on her body stood up. Right then he moved back two steps and moved sideways. Her steps faltered for a second.

He immediately got a hold of her waist and pulled her close. "Looks like it's too early for advance steps. Why don't we do this?" he wound both his arms around her waist and gently lifted her off the floor an inch.

"Whoa, wait." she gripped his shoulders tightly. "Let me down." she looked up into his eyes.

"No, let's dance." he chuckled and twirled her around.

Her feet swayed to the swayed around gently side by side with each step he took. If one did not look closer, they moth not know that she was being lifted.

After a while, she genuinely started enjoying the dance. She gripped his shoulders and whispered, "let's twirl again,"

"Gladly." he twirled her to the left and placed her down gently. "Does your waist hurt?"

"ha-ha, no, but the darn corset does," she chuckled and adjusted her corset a bit. Even though Odette did not tighten it fully, it was constricting her movements a lot. "That was fun,"

Raymond peered into her eyes and nodded. "It was. He tucked a small strand of her hair that had strayed away from her bun behind her ears. "It was a much more enjoyable than I expected." He then noticed a small purple flower behind her ear. "Where did you get this?" he took it out.

"Oh, Fred gave it to me. I heard it doesn't wilt." She took it out of his hand and gently sniffed it. The flower did not have such a strong scent, but it carried a small herb like scent to it.

Raymond frowned hard. He glared at his stupid human friend, who was flirting with a bunch of girls. 'Stupid Fred. He even gave her flowers! So hateful.' He took it from her hand and tucked it into his pocket. "I shall take that as a souvenir then."

"Yes, definitely. I have a bunch in my room," Eloise casually said.

The hand griped the flower tightened. "Oh, that's nice," he whispered, with his mouth twitching abnormally.
