After cleaning the prey Blake roasted some meat for Lyra, as there were no condiments in the house the meat was bland but she finished it with great difficulty as she was hungry. Blake understood her reluctance in eating the meat and went out to find some vegetables and herbs in the forest.
There was complete silence in the house when Blake left, Lyra was somewhat uneasy being alone with Lucas, She was not yet ready to confront him. He was the first person she met coming to this world and was quite attracted to his cheerful personality but it all changed the day she went missing. Sigh
"How are you, Lucas? I'm sorry, I worried you too much. It must have been hard for you"Lyra spoke breaking the silence
Lucas's eyes teared up, It was indeed hard for him, he spent sleepless nights searching for her everywhere without bothering to eat something properly. But the hardest thing was not being able to look at her beautiful face whenever he remembered the moments they spent together. He shook his head, she was now present with him, that's all that matters
He flashed a charming smile "I'm fine Ly, now that I'm here with you all those things don't matter"
Lyra smiled at him "Im glad that you are here"
Lucas grinned and asked "Do you have something that you like to eat Ly? I can search and bring it"
She shook her head "I have nothing like that in particular, as long as it is tasty I will eat it"
He lowered his head sadly "I thought I could bring you something" he muttered
She giggled, his emotions were very unpredictable, She got up from the ground and turned to him "Help me clean the house, there is so much dirt around here"
He raised his head "You don't have to do that Ly, Just sit and rest, I'll do the cleaning"
Lyra shook her head "No! let us do it together"
"Ly...."
"Please, I will be bored out of my mind without doing anything"
Lucas sighed "Okay, but if you feel tired you have to inform me"
She nodded her head. Soon both of them started cleaning the house and Lucas cut some firewood and stored them. It was already evening but Blake did not return from the forest, as she could not go on hungry, Lucas cooked some meat soup only with salt and chili. She took a sip and was pleasantly surprised by the taste and looked at him
As though he understood her gaze Lucas explained "I practiced cooking every day by asking others to make delicious food for you"
Lyra was touched because of this, his cooking now was a thousand times better than before, and his sincerity in learning to cook for her was heartwarming.
"It is very tasty," she said faintly
He beamed at her "Im glad that you like it"
After they finished eating it was already night, and Lyra's doubts were finally answered, Blake left both of them alone because he wanted them to mate. Spending so much time with him she understood his actions like that of the back of her hand. She went into the bedroom and sat on the grass nest and called Lucas inside.
They sat facing each other without speaking anything and Lyra broke the silence "You already must know that I and Blake decided to accept you in our family"
Lucas nodded his head, She continued "Lucas I have hidden many secrets from you and do not wish to mate before telling you that"
He smiled "Ly, I know you have hidden them because it is important, and I promise to accept you for who you are"
She was pleased with his understanding, then took a deep breath and explained everything, the world where she came from and how she was different from females here, and how she ended up with Blake.
Lucas listened to her attentively, it was no wonder his Ly was scared of sharing her secrets. It was very unbelievable and also very dangerous if an enemy knew, It didn't matter to him that she was different, he loved her and would protect her with his life. Even if it means standing up against the entire beast world he would not care.
He held her hands and pulled her towards him and hugged her "You don't have to worry too much Ly, I love you and I don't care where you are from, I'll always be with you".
She smiled and hugged him back burying her face in his chest, after staying like that for some time Lucas remembered something and said "Ly, I have your blue gemstone chain with me, which you were holding when you first came to this world"
Lyra realized why she, first of all, went inside the water, it was because of that chain that was given by her father then she looked at him "Where is it? I forgot about it after coming here"
"It is in our house where we were living before" he answered
She nodded her head, she should get it back after returning, it was the only memory that was left to remember her parents.
"It was given by my father when I was a kid, he said to always keep it with me"
Lucas rubbed her face with his calloused hands and asked "Do you miss your family?"
she smiled bitterly "I have always been with my family and didn't even imagine separating from them. It was and always will be hard for me to not remember them but now that I have you guys with me, I can continue my life peacefully"
He smiled and kissed her cheeks "Don't worry we will always be together with you"
She smiled then cupped his face in her hands and pecked his lips "I know, I believe you"
His blue eyes burned with a strong emotion and he held her face, not letting her to leave his lips and kissed her lips fiercely.
