Gregory observed the beastman in front of him and carefully started talking "I want to reveal a secret to you about Lyra"
Victor furrowed his brows in confusion "Secret about my love?"
Gregory nodded his head "Yes, a secret, only her mates know about this, not even Lyra herself"
Victor smirked "Then why are you revealing it to me? I'm not her mate yet"
"Because I want you to become her mate, I'm helping you" he replied
Victor narrowed his silver eyes "Continue"
Gregory smiled inwardly and started talking "Lyra is not someone from this world, both my mate and Lyra accidentally stumbled upon this world, I heard that Lucas found her from the forest, at first she must be confused by her sudden appearance in an unknown world just like my mate but because of her mates did she accept to continue living here"
Victor snickered "Are you trying to fool me?"
"It is the truth, you can confirm this with Blake and Lucas, It is Lyra herself who said this to them" Gregory cleared his doubt
Victor frowned, "Then, what is the truth that she doesn't know?"
"That her real parents are from this world, that Theodore and Iria are her parents and not someone from her old world," Gregory said as he sat on the opposite stone chair
Victor held his forehead "Then how did she end up in that world with her parents here?"
Gregory clenched his fist "When my mate gave birth to her, the child was stillborn, so using the 'sapphire of wish' which was passed down to eagle tribe, my mate exchanged her life and made a wish to bring the child's life back. Then to save the child from further harm, she sent her to her world using a portal"
Victor closed his eyes and absorbed all the information. Gregory noticed his silence and chuckled "You are not able to believe it?"
Victor opened his eyes and waved his hand "No, I believe you, my love is too pretty to belong to this world"
Then he closed the distance between them and smiled eerily "But I'm still not able to believe that you have the guts to twist real information in front of me. You must truly have a death wish"
Gregory's smile dropped and he clenched his jaw, but soon relaxed his expression "I don't understand what you are saying, This is the truth, You can ask Blake and Lu..."
Victor cut his words "Ask them? You would have woven the same lies in front of them, I'm already surprised that Blake bought your words, it is unlike him to believe someone without confirming" he then paused "I guess you have cleared your tracks for him to find something, how fun! you are quite intelligent"
Gregory's face remained relaxed "I don't know what you are saying" he repeated his claim
The next second, Victor held Gregory's neck against the wall tightly "Still playing innocent? Do I have to remind you that I'm from the bird clan? Didn't you know that 'Sapphire of wish' also belonged to our tribe once in the past? And you dare twist the truth to me? To vulture tribe's prince?"
Gregory's eyes started to turn crimson with all the pressure on his neck, his hands were struggling to remove Victor's hand from him. Victor on another hand tightened his grip and continued speaking "I know that one doesn't die after using 'Sapphire of wish', say! what exactly happened that day?"
Gregory tapped on his hand "I'll ta-talk pl-please release me"
Victor released his grip making him fall to the ground, Gregory gasped for air and coughed for some time, then he started laughing like a madman, he wiped his eyes from tears because of laughing and snickered at him "You found out?" he tsked "I thought I planned it properly, It was already hard to convince that paranoid snake from investigating but I lost to a bird"
Victor watched him calmly and kicked his face "I did not release you to speak nonsense, My patience is too thin for your life, I can always kill you and find the truth myself, It may become a little delayed but I'm not the one to give up"
A shiver ran through Gregory's body, he gulped "Please don't kill me"
Victor grinned "You have so much passion to survive for someone who lost his mate, Just say the truth fish, you know that I can roast and eat you here"
Gregory held his hand "Okay, I'll speak, but promise me that you will not kill me after learning the truth"

After confirming my doubt with other witch masters I took her body and hid it, Theodore was too absorbed in his grief to notice that I exchanged the body just before the funeral"
Victor gripped the stone chair "So, you are planning to exchange my love's soul for bringing your mate back?"
Gregory shouted "It is the right thing to do! how dare the child survive with the price of my mate's life!? She was born dead, it is not a big deal for her to end her undeserving life"
Victor's eyes turned red in anger, he stomped Gregory on the stomach "How dare you!"
Gregory struggled and screamed with pain and laughed spitting blood from his mouth "Look how angry you are, and you are not even her mate" then tilted his head "Then how angry must I have felt when my mate threw away her life for a child that she met for one day? How can she! I love her, she abandoned me just like that, all because of that child"
Victor held his forehead in frustration "Does her real father know about this? Are you planning this together with him!?"
"Theo?" Gregory snickered "That dumb bird can never guess so much, he stole my Iria from me and became her mate, it is only right for me to end his daughter's life and have my mate to myself, I'm exacting my revenge from him"
"You despicable piece of shit!" Victor said as he frowned
Gregory looked at him "How am I a despicable one? Didn't you fight your friend for Lyra's sake just a few moments ago?" he then smiled at him "Why don't you join me? I promise that Lyra will be yours once this is all over"
Victor clenched his jaw and stood silently, Gregory continued "You don't understand? Once she makes a wish and ends up inside the gem, you can use the daughter birthed by her to bring Lyra back, It is a win-win situation for us"
"And what if the child is mine?" Victor questioned.
Gregory got up "I wouldn't care even if Lyra was my daughter, I care about my Iria, no one else"
Victor laughed suddenly making Gregory baffled, he pointed his finger at him "Do you think that you can manipulate me with your ridiculous words? I have to admit that your offer was tempting, but it is nothing compared to my love's happiness, do you think she will feel delighted after knowing that I exchanged her daughter's life to bring her back? I'd rather her not love me for her whole life than hate me, I'm not obsessed with becoming her mate, I just wish to stay with her"
Then he chuckled remembering her beautiful face "I thought I was selfish, but that sweet flower changed me, today I fought Blake because I was feeling jealous and not for killing him, how can I kill him when the one I love is in love with him? I should take care of people that she loves" then he gasped "I have become a fool in love"
Gregory observed him and narrowed his eyes "You are indeed a fool, but I'm not like you, I'll reach my goal no matter what" then he flashed his finger making himself engulfed inside a light.
Victor widened his eyes and tried to catch him but it was too late and the light disappeared. He hit the wall in frustration and walked out of the house and strode towards Lyra's house.
