Chapter 6 - Well, well, well if it isn't little Lin Lin."

Wen Qinxi never thought he would stumble this much while being blindfolded. He honestly almost thought that Qie Ranzhe was doing it on purpose so he could accept his request to carry him. It was honestly like being led by the blind.

"Where are you taking me you two. It smells like the seaside," he asked and Qie Xieling tugged his arm and said,

"Dad's sense of smell is good."

Just when Wen Qinxi thought this would go on for so long they finally stopped. Standing behind Wen Qinxi, Qie Ranzhe removed the blindfold and Wen Qinxi's eyes widened seeing the most stunning seaview he had ever seen.

The view was an exact replica of the island they got married at. He even recreated the deck that overlooked the sea on their honeymoon. Well, they did consummate their marriage on the sandy beach on a no man island so...

Seeing how impressed Wen Qinxi was Qie Ranzhe couldn't help but milk it good. "I was already working on it and planned to bring you here soon. I just thought today would be the day," he said while turning his husband around by the shoulders.

He leaned his head closer until the tip of his nose was lightly brushing against Wen Qinxi's. He then continued to say, "I would have preferred if it was just the two of us so we can recreate some... special memories," in a  whisper with his warm breath sending a tingling sensation all over Wen Qinxi's body.

Wen Qinxi felt muddled, intoxicated by this man's charm. He stared at those lips that were close at hand and wanted to kiss them so much so that he subconsciously leaned closer only for Qie Xieling who was yet again a light bulb to complain.

"You do know that I survived off a granola bar last night, right?" he grumbled and Qie Ranzhe waved him off.

"Go and sit at the table. Breakfast must be ready," he said and Qie Xieling ran off. You didn't have to tell him twice.

He pulled the chair and crawled onto it with his short legs before sitting obediently. From a distance, he could see his parents kiss a little before hugging each other.

Bored out of his mind he lay down on the table and pressed the pointy end of the fork making it bounce. It was then that he caught a whiff of something delicious.

When he raised his head he saw the uncle who takes care of Nana Qie's meals placing a plate of tomato and egg stir fry in front of him. His eyes beamed as he sat up. Like a little hungry wolf pup, Qie Xieling grabbed his chopsticks and began to eat.

Before he knew it, his dad came to the table and sat next to him while saying, "Don't you just eat that. I know it's your favourite but you have to eat other things as well."

Qie Xieling was especially stubborn which was expected given who his father was. He would take tiny bites of things he didn't put in his eyes at his father's urging.

Wen Qinxi wasn't really the patient kind so instead of insisting he would take the initiative to feed his son and that's exactly what he did.

Qie Ranzhe just glanced at the pair wishing he could reprimand them both like always. He would accuse his husband of babying Qie Xieling and Wen Qinxi would always say Lin Lin was his baby and so he would baby him all he wants.

Qie Xieling didn't want to eat the slice of avocado but given his criminal record he had no choice but to eat with a subtle frown.

"See I told you you would like it," said Wen Qinxi and Qie Xieling showed a bright smile like a good boy but in truth he was internally gagging. He hated avocados with a passion.

Qie Ranzhe who could clearly see what was going on just chuckled lightly. The way Qie Xieling reacted to avocados was similar to a cat's reaction to a cucumber. Now he was being force-fed avocado and had to pretend to like it.

After his torment ended the three of them spent time at the beach. This meant that these two parents skipped work just to keep their suspended kid company.

Qie Xieling was especially bad at building sand castles so he had his parents build one and they almost fought about it. They argued about the architectural design and even the height.

Unable to come to an agreement they decided to build separate sand castles and Qie Xieling had to pick his favourite one.

This wasn't the first time his parents put him on the spot and it wouldn't be the last time either. The outcome was quite predictable with his father conceding because he always wants something from his dad at night. Qie Xieling didn't understand what it was but it must have been so important that he would let go of his competitiveness.

Qie Xieling liked his father's sand castle more because it was bigger and more beautiful but Qie Ranzhe kept hinting with his eyes. Like a good sidekick, he said to his dad, "I like dad's the most. It looks so pretty."

Wen Qinxi who had no idea that these two had exchanged hidden signals couldn't help but gloat. This gloating went on for the entire day. Even when they went grocery shopping which was exceedingly rare by the way.

This was the best time for Qie Xieling to reap his rewards. Whatever he pointed at his father had no choice but to get it. By the time Wen Qinxi came back, the cart was filled with junk food. There were shrimp chips, spicy tortilla chips, white rabbit creamy candy, hawthorn candy, gold chocolate coins etc. Wen Qinxi got rid of all of it and Lin Lin could only look at him with grievance in his eyes.

His words, "Boys who hit others don't get treats. Here eat an apple."

Qie Xieling, "..."

His lips twitched while walking away staring at that stupid apple like he was looking at the devil. Because he was busy staring at the devil apple he didn't look where he was going.

He bumped into someone and instantly sneezed from a familiar scent that irked him. He sneezed again and heard a very familiar voice saying, "Well, well, well if it isn't little Lin Lin."
