"Is the taste of the food really that similar?" Qiao Mei asked doubtfully.
"At first, I was also very doubtful. I asked someone to buy me a portion to try and the taste is really almost identical. We only use those few seasonings in our braised meat and then just stew it slowly. Many employees have left the factory recently. They may be the ones who are up to no good. No one can get the same type of seeds we have but there are many versions of popcorn similar to ours and at a much cheaper price," Qian'e said.
This was not surprising at all. After all, their products were very easy to manufacture and only needed simple tools. Qiao Mei's products were only popular because they used raw materials which were better than what the other manufacturers used. As long as the workers observed the process closely when working in the factory, any one of them would be able to go out and replicate the process.
