After cleaning up the place, Qiao Mei planted one seed first. She wanted to see what kind of vegetables could be grown in this soil and also to check out what the other neighbors were planting at their houses. It would not be a good thing to grow vegetables that did not suit the current season since that would attract unwanted attention.
The next-door neighbor grew cabbages and it seemed to be growing well. Most of the neighbors grew potatoes and some people grew carrots. The crops were all growing well! Eh? Wait… what was this?
The plant roots which Qiao Mei was controlling had hit an unknown object in the ground right under the storeroom in her house. The roots could only detect a rectangular object that looked like a box, but could not see what was inside.
This successfully piqued Qiao Mei's curiosity. Anything buried underground must be a treasure! Or some amazing big secret!
