"This is fucking boring." I sighed and closed my eyes as I rode on a train into the city.
"I don't think errands are THAT boring, besides we get paid for doing them and it counts for our credits as a D-Rank." Orika smiled.
"I guess, but why is SHE joining?" I asked, pointing at Orishi.
"What? Do you not want me here?" Orishi asked as she smoked her cigarette and looked out the window.
"Orishi has one of the highest Diplomacy Points in the academy, second to our assistant principal, Miss Sayoko Kugo." Orika explained.
"Plus it's three to a mission." Orishi added to Orika's statement.
"It's not a mission...It is an errand, more like a job. Helping at the concert for what? Who's even performing and what are we supposed to do?" I asked.
"Our B Rank Valkyria by the name of Saito Hirai has a band called the Electrica Bunnies. Not only is she I guess you can say an android, but she's also one of the best vocaloids out right now. And since we are outside the academy that means Judgement could attack Saito and her crew at any moment. We are the security." Orishi explained.
"It's for eight freaking hours. Tomorrow is Friday!" I said.
"Why do you think her concerts start at 12 PM? She's aware of her curfews and when she's supposed to be at the academy on academy nights." Orishi said then put out her cigarette.
I crossed my arms and looked out the window. "I guess it wouldn't hurt fitting in."
"That's the spirit!" Orika smiled.
Thirty minutes pass and we finally made it to the concert and got off the train. From what I could see the crowd was already massive. Saito and her band, from what Orishi showed me, was number one in Japan, Egypt, America, and England. They had a unique music style that I haven't heard of before called Metal Drum n Bass.
Orishi led us behind the stage and we walked inside of a building. I looked around and looked back at Orika.
"Are you okay?" I asked. "This is beyond your comfort zone."
"I know I'm not a fighter...but I can heal you if you get hurt. I'll be okay." Orika smiled.
I nodded then looked ahead seeing a woman with long curly silver hair with red highlights and red eyes. She had on her idol outfit and her legs shined a light blue insinuating blue stockings. She unplugged herself from a computer.
"All systems online. Vocal Systems check. Idol Mode Activated. Unit 54170 is ready for the concert." The woman said.
"Saito!" Orishi called out to the woman.
Saito looked back and smiled then walked towards us. "Miss Orishi, and Hisumi and Orika are here. Why are you here?"
"We are on security duty today for your concert. We won't be in the crowd, but we will be at the entrances and can hear your music. We will cheer you on from the sidelines." Orishi smiled.
"Saito is pleased that you three can make it. Saito hopes she can give her best for the concert." Saito smiled.
"You always bring your best. We have to get going now. See you soon." Orishi said.
Saito nodded and hurried to her band;
Orishi handed us watches. "These are your communicators. In case Judgement does come, you can warn me about it. If push comes to shove, we will fight Judgement. I'm not too much worried about Hisumi...I am more worried about Orika."
"If Orika gets in danger, I'll save her. Don't worry." I said.
Orishi nodded then sent the location of our stations. "I pinpointed your stations on your maps. Go there. If you need anything, contact me."
"Yes ma'am." Orika and I said.
Orishi nodded and walked off then we hurried over to our stations. I stood at my station and listened. I heard the band walking onto stage with their intro song playing named In The Nght. As I expected it was electronic drum and bass mixed with metal music.
"Everybody put their hands in the air!" Saito said then the crowd cheered loudly.
"Electrica Bunnies!" A few people chanted.
The bass of their song hit really hard and Saito was really good with the mixing of the song. The lead singer was a master at the metal scream and the other singers had amazing vocals. The song began to build up and the crowd parted away from each other then when the bass dropped, they began to form together again.
For the first few hours of the shift, nothing special really happened. Just me checking to see if the people had their tickets and see if they were carrying anything illegal.
My watch began beeping and I looked at it then pressed the answer button and a holographic screen appeared in front of me. "Orika, what's the matter?"
"I wanted to see if it works and it does. Also, the music sounds really good. The lead guitarist to the crowd synergy and finally Saito's amazing talent with the electronic stuff. She really knows how to get the crowd going." Orika said as she looked at the stage.
"Yeah. She does." I said and my nerves calmed down, listening to Orika's voice.
There was a bit of silence as we listened to the music together. I looked at the screen and noticed Orika moving her head a bit to the music. I smiled then sensed a mysterious aura.
"Hey Orika, I'll call back...I'm sensing something." I said.
"Okay, be careful." Orika said.
"Over and out." I said then hung up.
A hooded figure walked up slowly and I looked at them. They looked at me and stopped.
"Who are you?" I asked. They didn't answer. "Where's your ticket?"
They looked at me and I felt a bit uncomfortable. I looked at them and tried to hold my authority as security. They turned away then walked away. I decided to contact Orishi and she picked up then the holographic screen appeared on my watch.
"What's up?" Orishi asked.
"There was a person in a black hoodie and a devil emblem on their hoodie who came by earlier. It wasn't Judgement so I know it wasn't them. Do you know who it might be?" I asked.
"No I have no idea who that could be. Might've just been a weirdo." Orishi said.
"Alright, but I'm staying on alert." I said.
"Right. Don't let your guard down." Orishi said.
I nodded then hung up. I decided to contact Orika to make sure she's okay. I didn't get an answer and was a bit confused. I called again and still didn't get an answer and that's when I knew she was on danger.
"I wouldn't run off if I were you." A voice said to me from behind me. "You are indeed correct about us...we are not Judgement. We are known as the Demon Order. Valkyrias like you are very useful to us. We too hate Judgement, but we have no intention on creating peace. Our goal is to gather enough spirit energy from adept Valkyrias like you...to reawaken the Overlord we worship. The Ruler of Devils also known as the Umbra Overlord. He will help us gain total power over the entire world."
"What have you done to Orika..?" I asked and glared.
"She's alive...but if you want to save her, you have to get past me." The person said then summoned their rapier.
I looked at them then lightning crackled around my arms. The person looked at me then watched me run towards them. "I'll make you pay!" I yelled the swiped downward with my arm.
They blocked my attack then pushed me back and thrusted their blade towards me. I caught their blade and grunted. I glared then looked at the person.
"Intruder! Intruder!" Saito's computer said then she looked up and looked around. She used her bionic eye to scan the area then her eye locked onto multiple suspicious figures rushing into the concert.
Orishi slashed and killed the hooded figures then her battlesuit appeared on her body. "The Demon Order..? Who the hell are these clowns..?"
I blocked more attacks from the hooded figure and dodged their attacks then punched their stomach. They groaned and my eyes shined. They stumbled backwards and looked up. I growled then my spirit energy surged around my body then lightning crackled around my body. I grunted and my eyes shined brightly. I groaned then bolts of electricity discharged from my body and I groaned loudly.
"What the hell..?" Orishi said then noticed the high amounts of lightning energy. "Orika! Answer me!"
Orika whimpered as she was hiding from the Demon Order members. "Hisumi...I'm scared..." She whispered to herself and tears began forming in her eyes.
The bolts of electricity struck my opponent and they groaned loudly as they were electrocuted. An explosion happened and they were blown away. I panted and looked at my hands. "What the heck was that...? Was that an Electric Blast..?"
The person stood up and glared at me. I noticed it was a woman then glared at her. She dashed to me and slashed with her weapon. I dodged her attack then lightning surged around my body. I yelled then released another blast of electricity at her and an explosion happened. She groaned and slid backwards. I dashed to her from the smoke with lightning around my arm. She yelled and slashed at me. I weaved her attack then thrusted arm through her chest and she grunted then blood came from her mouth.
Orishi made it to my location and noticed I had killed one of the members of the Demon Order. The lightning disappeared from my arm and I felt the woman's heart in my hand. I dropped her heart then held her shoulder and pulled my arm from her body then she fell backwards.
"Didn't think you had it in you." Orishi said.
"I've spent half my life killing. I know where the vital areas are." I said then panted as my energy disappeared. "We need to hurry and find Orika."
Orishi nodded then hurried ahead. I grunted as my body jolted even harder than before. I panted and fell to one knee. Orishi looked back and noticed me on the ground. "Hisumi!"
"Go...I'll catch up. I really can't feel anything right-" I stopped and coughed up a bit of blood.
"Hisumi you need help. I can help you." Orishi said.
"Orika comes first! I'm not gonna let these side effects...be the reason she gets hurt!" I said then slowly stood up.
"Go ahead, Miss Orishi. Saito will take care of Hisumi's condition." Saito said then held me.
Orishi nodded then ran forward. She noticed the other security escorting the crowd to safety. She checked Orika's position on her map then looked around for her. She searched long and hard, but eventually found Orika hiding behind a large sign. She called out to her and Orika looked at her then hurried to Orishi.
"Demon Order, an organization who specializes in a different energy called Corrupt Energy. You can use Corrupt Energy to become an Overlord. They don't target just any kind of Valkyrias. They target those who have potential to become rulers. Saito's creator programmed Saito to have such energy. They aren't on good terms with Judgement either. While Judgement is our key target, the Demon Order is an enemy as well...Saito's creator was killed by the Demon Order.." Saito said.
"This was supposed to be an errand...not some mission. Me and Orika are D Ranks. So not only is Judgement roaming around, but now the Demon Order is here too." I sighed.
"We must retreat back to the academy." Saito said.
"Already on it." Orishi said then the Star Shooter landed on the ground then the doors opened.
"Hop in." Yusa said and looked at us.
The four of us hurried inside of the Star Shooter and the doors closed then it ascended then flew off.
"The Demon Order...I am glad we finally caught light to them...I had a feeling that they were around." Yusa said. "Now we can finally get the show on the road."
I looked out the window then looked at my hand.
"Saito senses that your power level has increased. Using Saito's bionic eye, Saito can calculate your current level." Saito said.
"Really? What's my power level then?" I looked at Saito.
Saito awakened her bionic eye then began to scan me. Her eye beeped then she blinked. "Hisumi's Power Level is 871, B Rank Levels of Strength. Power Levels are equivalent to the strength of your Spirit Energy and your condition. If your condition is good and your Spirit Energy is strong, you'll always have a high level."
"Saito is a key part of the Recon Team of the Valkyrias. Because of her build and her bionic eye she can gather Intel that no one else can even pick up with their naked eye and she can also see things us humans can't normally see." Orishi explained. "Before becoming a Valkyria she used to be an assassin, searching for the Demon Order in all parts of the world. She created her own battlesuit in the process called the Bunny Avenger."
"Saito hates the Demon Order and will get revenge for Saito's creator." Saito said.
I nodded and looked at Saito. She looked down at her feet and her legs stopped glowing. She looked out the window and watched the clouds. I looked at Orika who was sound asleep, due to exhaustion from crying. I took my phone out of my pocket and tried to turn it on, but it was fried due to the high amounts of electricity I generated from my body. I sighed and looked out the window and just stared until we reached back to campus.
