Dylan stood there frozen. The kids just ran away as if they saw the most infectious person in the world. It was the first time he had experienced something like this.
In his pack all the kids loved hanging out with him. Even if he was in a sour mood and even if his wolf was making trouble the kids always managed to cheer him up.
But these kids hated him.
'Most likely because he was a wolf... but how did they find out,'
He sniffed his pits. He made sure to mask his scent before he arrived here and he was soaking wet. There was no chance the kids might have sniffed out that he was a wolf.
a small sound was heard nearby and a blond-haired person walked out of the hut. "why are you guys shouting. Was it a snake again...."
Meeting his piercing gaze, the vampire froze. he took a step back ready to run away.
"Stop. If you run I will chase you. i just need to find someone." Dylan held out his hand trying his best to calm the boy down.
The vampire looked about twelve or thirteen. it was possible that this kid was a hundred-year-old vampire but it was no way to know for sure.
"T-there's no one like that,"
"Kid you hesitated. i have years of experience and i know when someone is lying. please tell me the truth. Where is Nico? i need to find him. he's my mate, you see,"
The vampire's expression distorted even more. he had a very disgusted look as he peered at him.
"Where is he?"
The vampire refused to say. He simply stood there with his mouth shut.
Dylan stood there in a standstill. A small sound of panting was hard and Killian ran up from behind. "Why the heck did you run... shit i feel so old.."'
Glancing at the young vampire he too froze. "What... you were right.. there is a vampire here. shit... your mate? is that him?"
"No, I'm trying to find out my mate's location. This whole island smells intoxicatingly like him.... I can't pinpoint the location right now. Shit…." He leaned against a nearby tree, panting. "Killian my wolf is going crazy. Ask the kid where my mate is…"
Killian walked close to the vampire who was frozen in shock. As soon as he got close, he smelled a very intoxicating smell of magnolia. "Why do you smell like flowers?" he sniffed his neck.
The frozen young child flinched back.
"I told you to ask him not to bully him. Ask him where my mate is…." Dylan barely held back his wolf.
"You heard the man. Tell him where his mate is," he said, standing tall in front of the young vampire. Somehow this kid gave him a very pleasant feeling.
The young vampire gulped. "i.. I will never tell you…."
Killian peered back at his alpha. "he's not telling. I don't wish to torture a young vampire."
"Fuck…" Dylan toppled over and knelt on the ground.
At the same time on the other side of the island, Nicolai was boarding the small boat with raven. Matt was helping them push the boat a little further away from the mangrove shoreline.
"Do you think we should get some shoes for Hunter and Issac? They have outgrown theirs?"
"Maybe we should. The young twins also need new clothes. Young ones really grow an inch by the day," raven mumbled softly.
Nico agreed to this plan.
All of a sudden he felt a weird feeling in the pit of his stomach. His heart started to pound loudly in his ear.
He gently patted his chest.
"You okay?" raven worriedly glanced at him.
"I'm good.. Indigestion probably,"
Matt pushed him off a bit and waved at them.
Raven started to row. They were traveling in the direction of the wave so they were moving very fast. Little over ten minutes they were further away from the island.
Matt waved at them and climbed out of the water. Suddenly he heard a loud scream. His heart almost stopped.
He ran in that direction hurriedly!
He felt the presence of two unknown individuals. One of them was taller than six feet and his companion was about five feet. They both were hovering over Darius who was trembling and tearing up.
He secretly took a small sharp rock from the ground and crept close.
The taller one immediately noticed him and glanced his way.
"Hey! Who do you think you are! Don't you know we are monsters, we will eat you?"
Darius trembled and ran over him, hiding behind his back. "Did they hurt you?" he whispered ever so softly.
The young vampire shook his head. "They.. they are here for Nico…"
Matt gritted his teeth. "Go away! The person you are searching for is not here,"
Without even getting close he could feel the deadly power that guy held in his hand.
Gulping matt stepped back slightly. "T-there are only children here…. Please…"
"I WANT MY NICO!!" the man suddenly shouted in a weird tone.
"Shit control your wolf," the other man shouted, grabbing him.
The taller man charged at them and grabbed him by his collar. "where is my Nico? Tell me right now or I will rip your throats out!!!"
"Dylan!! Stop that!" Killian dragged him back. the vampires actually looked like they were on the verge of tears. "We… we should not hurt them. They are precious friends of your nico.. do you want your mate to hate you…"
Dylan's wolf silently fell back. he still had a chokehold on the older vampire. "we are not leaving until we get info about my mate… Killian, take them. The four kids, find them and bring them here. If I can't find my mate, I plan to bring him to me,"
Saying this Dylan just walked away.
Killian sighed. Dylan was a very level-headed alpha but his wolf was slightly crazy. Looking at eth trembling vampires, he felt pity. "Please follow me without any resistance. You guys don't want to fight him… even I won't…"
