Rory could see that the detective was serious. She didn't want to leave without seeing Liam. The assistant advised Rory to leave. She said that there will be other ways to meet Liam and that she doesn't have to talk to the detective.
Maybe the detective could read Rory's thoughts, she spoke turning Rory's attention towards her.
"It would greatly help if you started answering my questions," Detective Giles said biting the back of the pen she was holding.
Rory nodded and walked to the seat not minding the loud sigh of the assistant.
"Ask away," she stared at the detective. If she is getting forced to be here, she won't be very courteous. She will have to accept it. It's not like she is doing everything according to the rules.
Detective Giles sized her up. "You don't even have to do it. Your grandmother...One word from her, your husband won't even be in here. Why~"
