Chereads / Rebirth: Stubbornly Fufilling A Promise / Chapter 25 - CH. 25: He Was The One

Chapter 25 - CH. 25: He Was The One

"To mount Vibrante."

'To home.'

She spoke of a different place while thinking of another.

"I will relax with the nature."

'…with my family.'

Her eyes turned redder even though she didn't want to cry.

"I will spend more time in appreciating the outside world."

'Appreciating the love of my family.'

"So please, even though I may be sick, I can handle myself until I get there. Please let me go."

Her eyes and voice were begging, Amelia could no longer say no. It was as if Heather was suffering so much and her letting her go would be the best for her at this moment.

"I had taken things for granted, I just want to stop being like that," Heather added.

They already laid out the plan, even if Maya or any other guards would follow her, they will not notice.

Because the double her brother had for her was actually trained from the get go, trained to be loyal only to the family and even gone through surgeries just so her face would end up being identical to Heather's face.

Her loyalty was the first to be trained and she is among those who are the most loyal. The same for all the double of her brothers.

When all five of them were born, their grandfather had made sure that doubles were hired for them alone.

He knew the potential of their business and knew that it will slowly grow, making sure everyone is safe is for the best for his family.

With all these preparation, Heather's life was actually something that is truly smooth sailing. She simply hated the fact that there is no one she couldn't trust outside her family back then because of all the lies that she received all through out her younger years.

"Then let me buy everything that you needed for this trip. At the very least rest more and have some medicine before you leave."

Seeing that she could really not stop Heather, Amelia could only accept.

No one in the family was looking after Heather and she felt bad because Heather couldn't even go home to her family.

The nature and the peacefulness of the mountains may be able to help her become better. Especially seeing how much she cried the night before.

Heather was unable to buy her props in her trip because she was planning on doing it today, who would have thought that she would actually fall ill.

"Uhmmm, I can't remember how I fell sick or what happened after I have decided to take a nap in the sofa yesterday," she asked.

Amelia sighed, "The young madam was sleeping too deeply that you didn't even realize that it was already raining so hard. You were drenched but you just won't wake up. It was a good thing that the young master returned, we were able to bring you up here. If not I will have to ask for assistance from Maya."

When she spoke of Maya's name, Amelia showed dislike.

From when Maya acted like she was not a servant, Amelia had already disliked her and had been making her do all the hardwork.

This time around, after Amelia got busy with Heather, Maya took the time to actually leave.

She didn't know where she went but since her presence can barely felt after the event of her bringing such beautiful clothes to charity.

Amelia didn't bother.

But in truth, Maya actually went shopping after Amelia returned yesterday and started trying to wake Heather up.

She had anticipated that Amelia will ask for her help since there was only the three of them in the villa.

And when Amelia left for grocery, she had been staying inside the room that she didn't even realize that Cyrus had returned.

In short, Maya was not doing the job that Amanda had actually given her, even the guards outside that are waiting for Heather to go out.

She didn't do so in the past days that they got bored ended up either sleeping or playing around.

Even they were unable to realize that such change has happened, Cyrus returned and even helped Heather. Something unprecedented.

Nevertheless at this moment, all of them were not in Heather's mind, she was instead thinking of the fact that Cyrus had carried her.

'The person he hated just seeing me and breathing the same air I was breathing actually returend and even helped me up here?'

She looked at Amelia with a baffled look.

Amelia understood her look very well, after all even she was still unable to comprehend the change within the young master who didn't want to get close to the young madam.

"He did, young madam. He actually called me before I returned asking if I am here. When I told him I went out for grocery I noticed something was amiss with his voice. And so after getting off the cab, I rushed back to see you drenched by the rain. I couldn't even wake you no matter what and was extremely relieved that the young master came. Did he come home before then?" Amelia asked.

"I think I did hear him return when I was about to drift off to sleep," Heather replied.

Well she really was sleepy yesterday that it was the truth.

"I had wished that you would actually take your nap at your own room. If we didn't return on time then you would be surely be even more sick," Amelia nagged.

Heather smiled at the warmth.

Because of the wall she herself created on her first life, she and Amelia didn't get the chance to have this kind of conversations.

"You also called a doctor?" Heather asked looking at the drip beside her.

"Oh, the young master tasked me to call for sir Lance."

"Lance?!?"

She almost shouted at the name that was mentioned.

"Yes, young madam, sir Lance Folger."

"I'm amazed he actually helped me," Heather couldn't help but to comment.

Amelia almost slipped when she started fixing the plates that Heather ate from.

'Just how bad does she see herself to think that no one would actually help her in such situations?'

As if reading her mind, Heather continued, "Lance hated me so much for what I have done to his bestfriend. I gues that hippocratic oath was a strong spell towards them."

Then she smield at Amelia who wanted to rebuke her for her thoughts, but stopped in the end.

Through time she knew the current Heather will be loved by many.

Amelia was unaware that Heather was already loved by many, she just chose to stay at a place where all those who hates her are.

"Go on and rest. I'll buy everything I think you will need," she decided to say instead.

"But you can't bring it with you back here," Heather remembered that they have no driver in here.

Amelia smiled, "Don't worry."

She pushed Heather back to a lying position.

"I'll wake you up once I return."

"You have to okay?" Heather still felt heavy in her head that she knew she may not be able to wake up on her own.

But she wanted to see her family so badly.

Seeing her looking like a child who was asking for a promise from an adult, Amelia couldn't help but to have her heart move even more for Heather.

She smiled warmly, "Of course. As long as you will be better there then I will wake you up."

The smile that Heather flashed after hearing her words made Amelia to become emotional.

Her smile was filled with happiness.

'You are off to be on your own, even if the place was beautiful. Yet you look happier than being in this cold place,' Amelia thought as she left the room.

"What happened?"

After coming down, Cyrus asked her.

It was already nine in the morning, yet he haven't gone to the office yet.

"The young madam wishes to go to mount Vibrante."

A frown instantly appeared on Cyrus' face.

"Is she no longer sick?"

Amelia shook her head, "She is still sick."

"And you will let her go?"

"Then what young master? Let the madam stay in this cold lonely place she couldn't even call home? She can't go to her family, she has no one here. If such a beautiful place will help calm her and reduce her fever then I will let her go. Not just because I am a servant who must not oppose her master but because I am old enough to be a parent and I can see that the child is wishing to be at that place."

Cyrus' arguments were stuck in his throat.

Amelia had been his nanny ever since he was a child.

She was simply left here when he went to America but upon returning she was still here waiting for him.

To be precise, Amelia could be referred to as his second mother.

His father was an only child while his mother had two other siblings.

His mother's parents rarely comes to visit, they loved going around teh world instead.

His father's parents died in an accident that his father who was taking a different course back then was made to inherit the company instead.

But soon he fell ill and died.

He has so few relatives. He did have some cousins from his mother's side but he was not close to them.

They did use his name to gain something but he never interacted with them.

Being reprimanded by Amelia whom he respects made him unable to say anymore excuses.

Amelia was right, this place was too cold and lonely for Heather and he was the one who caused it the most.

"I am off to buy her the things she will need in staying there for two nights," Amelia informed him seeing that she was able to get through to him somehow.

Because after he came back from America, she can tell that so many things have changed about him.

One of which was that he mostly listens to his mother.
