As Yun Meiyi left, it felt like the brightness of the moon also followed her. Behind her, the darkness enveloped the man as if without him they were feeling incomplete. His gaze kept on looking in the direction where the woman left until a gush of wind passed and he felt someone's presence behind.
"Did you find something on her?" He asked as if he already knew who was there. He didn't make any move, instead stood there simply in his hubris. His arrogant stature gave a feeling that the Earth owed him a whole eternity for its existence.
As he asked, the next moment a man appeared from behind dressed in a dark hood that hid his face perfectly. "My King, my soulless body bows to you in respect. Please accept it." He greeted and seeing the man nod in reciprocation, he added further, "As per your order we have requested the seers across the cosmos to read her birth chart. But even after reading it several times, they were not able to tell why she was able to have that effect on you. They said her stars are different and something that was tough for us to understand."
The man's expression showed a hint of interest but before it could surface on his face fully, it was off with a whoosh. As if it never appeared in the first place. "What were their words? Speak it syllable per syllable."
"The girl is born to be the mystery tasked to the universe to unveil. Her existence alone holds the answers to several enigmas hidden in the depth of Heaven's creation while her end would leave the Inferno in peril. She is born to be cherished. Her Cherisher would be rewarded with an eternity."
As said by the seer, the person stated it all in one breath. Since he was asked to repeat it syllable by syllable, he made a note to not forget even the smallest fragment of it. Only after saying it all did he take a breath to ease himself.
Hearing it, the man didn't say anything. He stood still there and looked at the same distance for some more while, before finally speaking, "You can go now." Saying that he walked off, without further giving any heed to the person who stayed with his head bowed in respect for him.
And once the man was out of sight, the person vanished in the thin air as if there has never been anyone standing there.
While after the banquet ended, Yun Jiaqi bade every guest a proper farewell, imitating the role of the mature lady that has a big family's name to keep under her responsibility. Once everyone left, she alone waited there for Su Yang.
"Jiaqi! Are you waiting for me? Suddenly Zhen Shu Ting appeared from inside with a smile of a tease on her expression.
Yun Jiaqi turned to look at her and was surprised. "Shu Ting, you are still here. I thought you must have gone back by now. Is your car alright? If there is a problem, I can ask my driver to drive you back." She said, and even though her words came out of concern, being her mate for years, Zhen Shu Ting read the things that weren't on the show.
She didn't say anything but gave a known smile to Yun Jiaqi. After which, Yun Jiaqi hurriedly explained, "No, no, Shu Ting, you got me wrong. I was just concerned for you since you are my best friend. There is nothing of that sort that you are thinking. Believe me."
"But Jiaqi, I didn't say anything. What are you saying?" Zhen Shu Ting shrugged her shoulders in nonchalance and Jiaqi was at once at a loss for words.
"Shu Ting, I … I was …"
Seeing her like that, Zhen Shu Ting chuckled, before reaching out to brush her cheeks which had turned into a tone of blushing red. "You know while blushing, women tend to look the prettiest, Jiaqi. And at the moment, you are looking the prettiest. I am happy for you. Finally, you have got Young Master Su. With his love for you, Yun Meiyi would never be able to get back at you."
She said and at the mention of Yun Meiyi's name again, Yun Jiaqi's expression changed. A layer of disappointment got on her countenance as she shook her head. "I can't be sure of that, Shu Ting. You know she has always been portrayed to be superior to me. Even though father hasn't said it clearly, his silence has always spoken that way. Even though my mother has hated her, she has always asked me to be better than her, so that I could achieve things better than her." She said and even though she put it like that, her word's framework was just to not come out too ugly in front of Zhen Shu Ting.
After all, Zhen Shu Ting was still the well-brought daughter of the known Zhen family, who hates to be in the company of degraded people. It has been hard for her to earn her friendship. She has particularly made herself look like a victim who has been intimidated and cornered by her elder half-sister all her life.
Zhen Shu Ting felt sympathetic towards her friend. Reaching out to hold her hands in hers, she patted them lightly to say, "You are good in your own way, Jiaqi. There is no need for you to become like that good-for-nothing Meiyi."

Zhen Shu Ting tried to soothe Jiaqi's disappointment. But little did she know that on the whole matter, her conception itself was wrong. The one whom she was taking as a sufferer all this while was actually the assailant.
