Rushing out of the guild was something Cian did out of pure instinct. However, as soon as he barged out of the guild, all he wanted was to turn around and walk back right in —— sitting in the middle of the streets was Harley, her face a mask of terror as she looked at the shifter in front of her.
Cian took a whiff of the scent of the shifter in front of him and a snarl rumbled in his chest, the man standing in front of Harley was a manticore and a very strong one at that, he couldn't understand what Harley was doing here much less how she got entangled with this manticore that was standing in front of her.
His eyes grazed over the long scar marks on Harley's back, dripping with blood and the anger that was flickering on the face of the manticore. Just one glance was enough for him to see that if he didn't intercept this matter then it would escalate to a point where no one would be able to stop it.
