"President Frost, are... Are you mad at me?" Damian heard as Melody stuttered. He was taken aback by that question. What made her think that he was mad at her, he had no clue.
'So all this while this was what had been bothering her?' He asked himself not able to understand what gave her such a thought in the first place. Not able to sit still any longer, he rose and walked up to her, took her hand in his, and led her to take a seat opposite to his by the desk.
"Why do you think I am mad at you?" Damian asked after sitting down as well. "I don't remember saying or doing anything to you that indicated such. Or did I?"
Melody looked at him for a while deep in thought. Did she overthink things? That can't be right. Right, she did not overthink anything at all. He was very out of character this morning while conversing with her.
She looked into his eyes and was about to deny his earlier words but he spoke again before she could.
