As soon as the call was answered and Damian heard Melody's voice, it was as if a huge load had been lifted off his shoulder, he could finally breathe again. Ezekiel and Lloyd looked at him closely seeing him relax for the first time since they arrived back in the country they knew that Melody was fine and kicking.
"Hello," Melody's hoarse voice came through the phone and Damian could finally be calmed by her soothing voice.
"Hello!" Melody repeated when she didn't hear a reply from the other party. She pulled the phone from her ear to look at the caller ID which she had forgotten to check because of her sleep.
Seeing the name on the screen, the sleep in her eyes evaporated in an instant. "President Frost?" She asked in shock.
"Yes, it's me," Damian said, his voice calm and collected. "Will you be at work...." he paused and looked at his wristwatch, "....Today?" he asked.
