Angelo could only handle several things, and social gatherings were not among them. Angelo reached for his tie to loosen it, but he stopped himself when he saw how messy it would appear if he did so.
Two years after their engagement party, he couldn't believe he was throwing another one. Outside yet another one of Sabastian Winfield's mansions, he stood in the middle of the ballroom and smiled despite feeling physically nauseous at the sight of so many people from their social circle.
"At least try and look happy; it would not hurt, would it?" The words came out of Fiona's mouth through clenched teeth as she appeared from behind him. Everyone who passed them saw them as a happy couple, so Angelo smiled slightly, hoping it would be enough to win over the onlookers.
