Alexa was relieved when she opened her eyes to the familiar curtains and interior decor of Aiden's room. Trying to seat up, she cried out as sharp pain from her lower region hit her with full force.
Why was she in so much pain? The scene from last night slapped her senses and she held her aching head. She forced herself and sat up, producing a soft cry. Every part of her body ached but the most severe pain was in her treasure trove.
Recalling the incident from last night, her heart ached. Alexa couldn't tell if her body hurt more or her heart. She knew that it wasn't entirely his fault, but she couldn't help blaming him for his actions.
