Alan had a lot of trouble moving around with his new body, aside from freezing everything around him of course. His center of gravity was very off due to the mounds of flesh that had now taken their place on his chest. Not only this, but he was significantly shorter than he was previously.
He had gone from being a 5 '10 male to a 5 '6 female, so it made sense. Alan was not too worried about this, because he was sure he would eventually get used to his newly acquired body.
The main thing that bugged him was that he could not use his phone anymore. Even if he could get it out of its ice prison, he did not know if it would still function well enough to be of any use.
Walking outside of his house, he was stunned by what he saw. There were police sirens and lights going off in every direction. This further strengthened his belief that he was not the only one who was affected by the changes that had occurred that day.
There was an officer interrogating a family of 4 near his house. A young boy, his older sister, and their parents. This family was one that he had seen a lot. Their son had often come over to Alan's house to play games with him. There was also a police van parked nearby.
When he got closer to the officer, all five of the people standing there immediately froze and turned their heads towards Alan in what seemed to be fear and confusion.
"Um, is everything ok?" Alan said, stunned by their facial expressions.
Alan was shocked by how his voice sounded. It was extremely girly and cutesy, but because of his previous gender, it sounded like a 7-year-old boy trying to sound cool.
The officer and the family were visibly chattering their teeth and were shivering.
"Can you move back a few feet?" The officer asked Alan. Alan obliged and took a few steps backward.
"I will be with you in a moment. Please be patient." The officer told Alan.
Looking closer at the family that the officer was talking to, he could see the daughter had gone through some changes. He could see some animal ears on her head as well as a fluffy tail sticking out of her behind. The rest of the family did not have any visible changes.
The girl was sobbing her eyes out while embracing her mom. The change must have hurt her quite a bit.
While waiting, Alan decided to explore his own body. His clothes had magically changed. He seemed to be wearing some sort of white robes that seemed to be purposely oversized. These robes were comfortable, but he would prefer wearing a nice short-sleeved shirt and some shorts.
He also noticed that his vision had changed. He could now see perfectly in the dark. His field of view also seemed to have changed.
His hair had grown out a lot after the change. It was now waist-length and extremely silky. It was black before the change, so at least he was used to the color.
The weirdest change was his ears. When he touched his ears, he noticed that it was pointy and a bit smaller than they should have been.
The most detrimental change to alan was his muscles. Alan worked out a lot to ask out his now ex-girlfriend and decided to never stop. Sadly, all that progress was now gone. You couldn't see a hint of his 6-back and his biceps now looked like a small glizzy.
After a few minutes, the family left, and the officer made his way toward Alan hesitantly. The closer he got, the more he started shivering. Eventually, the officer was forced to stop because of the cold.
"Ma'am, please state your name, date of birth, and your parent/guardian's name." The officer said.
Alan obliged and told the officer his information. The officer was visibly stunned.
"Damn, that's quite a change for a young boy to go through," The officer said.
Alan quietly nodded.
"We would like to transfer you over to a facility for testing because your changes seem to be more major than what others have experienced. This will only be temporary, and you will not be harmed in any way." The officer told Alan.
Alan nodded again. Alan was skeptical, but he did not have another choice.
"But before that, can you do something about the cold? I do not think that the others would be happy about freezing for the duration of the car ride," The officer said, pointing to a police van behind him.
"But I don't know how to," Alan told the officer.
"Yo ice girl! Just pretend like you are sucking the cold up through your pores!" A voice said from inside the van.
Alan tried this, and he immediately felt different. It felt like there was a layer of protection around his body. He also felt empowered for some reason. He was no longer freezing everything around him as well.
Alan and the officer made their way to the van.
