Chapter 20 - RIN: Horseback

"The boy has fallen asleep, we should head back to the castle," Rin was holding the little boy in his arms, the one who has been named Jiro. The one everyone insists on is his son.

He was so fragile, small, and weak. He can't even properly ride a horse which explains why the boy has been riding with him in the first place.

As much as he wanted to deny to himself, the resemblance between him and the child speaks for itself. This boy carries his blood, this boy, this child is his son.

Maru nodded and urged the horse forward, "Let him sleep in the carriage, as for me and you... we should race to the castle."

"And why should I agree to that?" Rin asked in his usual cold tone and unchanging expression.

"You already agreed, I have three days, and for those three days, we will do what I want to do. Moreover, are you afraid I might best you after all?" Maru looked at him and grinned.
