After having his fill, Blake left her lips and smirked.
He tapped her little nose and said, "Why are you assuming that I'll kill you? If I wanted, I would have already gobbled you up when you were unconscious" She looked so cute with her tear-stricken eyes and he wanted to tease her more.
Lyra stopped crying and replied while hiccuping, "Then why are you keeping me here against my will? I want to go back to the city of beasts"
"Why are you insisting on going back? it is not like you have mated. I did not see any mating mark on you while I was covering your body with clothes" he didn't understand her. Even if she had a mate, he would kill that male without her knowledge. She was his and only his.
"I have someone who is waiting for me" and I'm scared of you, she added in her mind but didn't dare to voice it out.
He frowned, his Lilly had someone waiting for her? well, he should finish them. He didn't like her attention on someone else other than him.
He tilted his head to the side "Who is the one waiting for you?"
"He is someone who saved me when I was in danger. I promised to become his mate and I like him" she answered truthfully. She was missing Lucas a lot and wanted to see him.
Blake narrowed his eyes and gritted his teeth hearing her words. How dare someone other than him have a place in his Lilly's heart? He should finish that fellow.
This is the first time in his life that he wanted something so bad and he didn't want to give up just like that. Yesterday when he brought her to his cave, he warmed up her body with fire which he had never done in his life before. He is a cold-blooded beastman and didn't like being near the fire but because she was cold, he endured it to keep her warm.
Then he took his shredded skin and didn't dare to cover her before washing it thoroughly in the stream nearby. After that, he wanted to hug her and sleep but because he was not warm, he just looked at her from a distance and blocked the cold wind coming from the cave's opening.
Watching her sleeping figure was the most interesting thing he had ever done. But now some bastard was trying to take her away from him and he would never allow that to happen.
He soon calmed himself down and replied, "This is the beginning of the rainy season and the path leading to the beast city is blocked because of large boulders falling from the nearby terrain. I can't take you out on the land and you can't breathe in the water, so wait for a month here and then I'll take you back", well it was partly true that the path was blocked but he can easily cross that but he decided to not tell her that because he didn't want her to leave.
Lyra blankly looked at him. She knew that she can't go back on her own because the forest is dangerous for traveling alone. So for now, she decided to wait for Lucas to find her, or she decided to ask the stranger once again to send her back after a month.
Lost in her thoughts, her stomach growled due to hunger making Blake smile. He got up from the ground saying, "Wait here, I'll go and get something for you to eat"
Lyra hugged her knees and watched as Blake left the cave. She settled herself near the fire and started warming up her body.

Meanwhile back in the beast city, Lucas was frantically searching for Lyra everywhere.
For the entire night, he didn't have a wink of sleep and went to every house in the beast city in search of Lyra.
His Ly suddenly disappeared in the water yesterday and he searched everywhere inside and near the stream but was not able to find her.
He ran towards the wolf king's castle and went to his mother, "Mom help me! Lyra is gone, she disappeared yesterday in the stream and I'm not able to find her"
Seeing her son's panic-ridden face, Lucas's mother frowned and asked "How can she suddenly disappear baby? did you search everywhere in the city?"
"Yes mom I searched everywhere but I'm not able to find her. The stream that she disappeared from adjoins to the forest and I'm scared that something bad happend to her"
Lucas's mother was also worried now. That little thing was so delicate and if she by any chance ended up in the forest then she will be in danger.
She frowned and called one of her mates and told, "Edgar take some well-trained wolf guards and lead a search party. Make sure to find Lucas's female as soon as possible"
Lucas too followed after them to get some guards before leaving for the forest.

In the lion king's castle, Noah was working with his father when a wolf beastman from the wolf king's castle hurried inside and bowed in the presence of the King and the prince.
"Your majesty, The wolf queen sent me here to inform you and prince Noah about something important" he politely informed.
"Wolf queen and not the Wolf king?" lion king was surprised.
"Yes your majesty, Queen informed me that this matter concerns prince Noah"
Noah turned and looked up "Me? well let's listen to it then"
"Your majesty, the female you took a liking to went missing yesterday by the stream. Prince Lucas is leading a search party into the forest to find that female," the guard said.
Noah's furrowed his brows. He felt his anger rise, "What do you mean by missing? Did someone kidnap her!?"
The guard cowered back due to his loud voice and explained everything to him. After listening to it, Noah got up and bowed to his father.
"Father I want to search for my female, please allow me to leave"
Lion king gave his permission to take some of his men to lead the search party.
Both Lucas and Noah left to search for Lyra with heavy hearts. They just hoped that she would be fine before they find her.
