Consciousness returned to Ahmar when the shining moon started glittering in the sky, high above. The big French windows that led to the balcony that was big enough to fit another room, were left open causing the soothing and calm winds to blow past the glass window panes as the moonlight filtered through the silky black curtains, lighting up the usually gloomy and dark room. Ahmar who was lying on his bed stared at the dark ceiling off his four-poster bed above his head and frowned—— what was he doing here? And why was he sleeping? He never slept. Not unless his mate came to look for him then there was no need for this stupid thing that those non-nocturnal being needed to relieve the stress of their entire day.
So, why was he lying in this stupid thing called bed?
