Chapter 25 - Episode 25: I Guess You Are Right

Luna explained that she can somehow feel resonance towards the people with the same ability as her, that is what allowed her to find him.

She explained that she wanted to ask about it from the start but chose not to, feeling that he would react violently instead and she was right.

And that is the reason why they are in this situation right now. Where she just told him she knew of his ability like it was nothing.

"And what characteristic were you talking about? You already knew about my ability from the get go," Julian asked after her explanation.

Luna tapped the side of her eyes, "Only those bestowed with the power of the moon have the characteristic of having a tinge of silver in their eyes. Because when we use our power..."

She allowed her whole body to be surrounded with a layer of white light, it looks like it was a protective layer. As she did, her silver blue eyes turned even more silver. After allowing it to disappear, her eye color returned to their usual ones.

"With the number of moon ability users we have now, I guess it is inevitable that this characteristic has been forgotten. Since you... are not using it at all. I presume you have forgotten or not noticed it at all."

Julian looked away, she was right, he really did not like using it. Since they are in a time where it is quite peaceful, he did not find it in him to use it or even announced to the world that he is among the few.

The troubles it caused him and his family during his childhood was enough to make him hide it as much as possible.

He has actually been using a different ability since he was four after his family decided to keep his main ability from the public. And very slowly the population started forgetting that his ability is actually the moon ability.

Only the higher ranking nobles remained, knowing what his main ability was.

Who would have thought that another one would appear after so long?

There was never any news of a third one appearing.

During this time, there are only two moon ability users in this land. One was him and another was in the other kingdom across Vulpecula Dessert.

He furrowed his brow, this makes the identity of these five even more mysterious. They are commoners but it seems like they were trained differently and now she is actually a moon ability user?

"And that is where my question arises," Luna turned serious.

"Even if it's just in private, have you not used your power at all?"

Julian frowned but simply turned his back to check on Gabriel again.

But Luna did not leave it as is, she instead grabbed his hand.

"Answer me!!" there was even urgency in her voice.

She didn't want to act this way but as someone who has the same ability as her and knowing that there are only a few of them left, she needed to ensure that they will be fine. Because no one would know when another demon would rise. And she didn't want for the five of them to be the only ones fighting again.

The loneliness and sadness they felt then, she didn't want to repeat it again.

Isn't that the reason why she chose to leave Circinus Kingdom that did not change over the years? Because she wanted to make a change to what happened to them in the past.

So many could have supported them, strong enough to fight alongside them, but no one came. As if they were left to fend for themselves even though they are fighting for the land and not just their families.

That is also the reason why Aaron and the others reacted strongly when Kyle and his group started looking at them like they are some kind of heroes. They never wished to be one, they were simply left with no choice but to be one.

Julian ended up slapping her hand away, "What is it to you?"

This power is not something he was happy about. Talking about it? He doesn't like it one bit.

Luna angrily looked at Gabriel, "Kid, have you ever used your ability on that man?"

Gabriel was stunned to be suddenly called a kid.

Nevertheless, he still replied by shaking his head, "I was warned not to. My eyes won't be able to keep up with him."

Luna scratched her cheek, "Use your vision on him-"

"What the hell are you making him do?!?" Julian instantly flared up.

He started regretting bringing them here.

Even though it is a blessing in disguise that he found someone who has the same ability as him. But she is demanding Gabriel to do something so dangerous.

"Shut up!!" she snapped at him causing him to be rendered speechless, no one has spoken to him in such a way before.

"Hey, don't go snapping at my brother," Gabriel also snapped at her.

"Your brothers?!?" Aaron was the one who suddenly butted in.

The four of them had been going back and forth to the argument between these two.

"What if he is my brother?" Gabriel asked him.

"Aaron!!" Luna called out to him.

This is not the time for them to be diverting from the main conversation.

Aaron took a step back, even hiding behind Richard, "I did not mean to interrupt."

"You just did that," Preshea shook her head.

"Shh," Spencer warned them.

He knew why Luna was reacting this way.

If Julian was indeed not using his ability for so long, then he is currently a walking time bomb without realizing it.

"How dare you-"

"I told you to shut up, you brothers are really stupid," Luna gritted her teeth.

Julian was even more at a loss.

Everything is becoming a complete mess.

"Use your vision on his body but not his core, cause that will really cause you damage. Arms or legs are fine, you can do that right, kid?"

"I am not a kid. I am-"

"Just do it," Luna interrupted him.

Gabriel wanted to rebuke but could only purse his lips before looking at his brother. Julian could only nod his head, even though everything is a mess, he has a feeling that she has no ill intention right now.

He activated his vision again and focused on looking at the arms of his brother.

"It is a mass of white," he was shocked.

He would always see the other ability users with the vein like structure as if the mana was following the veins in the body. But his brother was different, he was completely white, the veins aren't visible at all.

"The supposed vein structure of the mana is gone. His legs are nothing but whi-"

"I am going crazy with the two of you!!!"

Luna messed her hair in frustration.

"How can you be so careless? She told you not to look at her with your vision activated," Preshea reprimanded the now in pain Gabriel because as he explained what he was seeing in his brother, he actually turned to Luna.

She couldn't move fast enough from his sight because she did not expect him to look at her since she had told him a lot of times not to do it.

It was a good thing that Spencer, who was beside Preshea, who was close to Gabriel, was fast enough to cover his eyes at the last minute.

Though the injury was much more severe than when Gabriel looked closely at Spencer's core, he will recover with rest and Preshea's healing.

Preshea exasperatedly did her job of healing him.

Julian worriedly looked at his younger brother while Luna was doing her best to calm down.

Her frustration is reaching its peak.

Julian frowned, just what was in her that simply glancing at her would reduce Gabriel into such a state.

"You."

He turned to her when she called.

"It is fine to hide it but are you trying to kill yourself? Why are you not releasing it?"

She grabbed the back of her neck, "My blood pressure."

The other's lips twitched, it seems she got the expression of those people they have encountered. Acting like that when something is infuriating for them.

"Aaron, Richard, make a dome that is about one foot above the ground," Luna instructed.

The two looked at one another and shrugged.

Wind and Water abilities were released and enveloped both Luna and Julian.

Julian was calm, though he couldn't comprehend what this person was planning, with her words he knew that she was doing this for himself.

"Bro-"

"Calm down, kid. Nothing bad will happen to your brother. Instead, he will feel better," Aaron spoke, stopping Gabriel from rushing to the dome.

His eyes must still be in pain despite the healing but he was actually so worried he wished to rush after his brother.

"Who are you people?" Gabriel asked.

"We are adventurers, kid," Aaron grinned.

He even ruffled Gabriel's hair.

Aaron was a few inches taller than him.

Gabriel slapped his hand away, "I am not a kid. I am already eighteen years old."

"I see. I see," Aaron perfunctorily answered.

"And I saw in my vision that you are of the same age as me," he was even more infuriated with the way Aaron replied.

Aaron looked at him before looking up, thinking.

"Hmmm, I guess you are right, we are eighteen."

Even the other three thought a bit about it causing Gabriel to be confused.
