Chapter 2 - Episode 2: No Eyes Are On Us

The news about the Dark Forest having abnormalities was already spread across Circinus Kingdom which was on the other side. Farther than where they are, since they are closer to the kingdom of Antlia.

This means the news should have been known by many already in Antlia.

Yet these people came without proper training and preparation.

"If you don't want to accept our thanks, you don't have to be so harsh," the healer couldn't help but comment.

"We wouldn't be harsh if you just did your part properly," Aaron continued arguing with them.

"Just leave," Spencer seriously told them when they still wished to argue.

"Who are you to tell us what to do when you are just some commoners?"

Adventurers who do not have a family name are still being treated as commoners despite being stronger than most nobles.

"The ones who saved your asses," Aaron continued provoking them.

"Aaron," finally Spencer called him out.

Aaron pouted before returning to setting up camp since even Richard was glaring at him. He was almost done in setting up but Aaron had not helped at all since he was busy trying to provoke the nobles.

"Just leave and investigate before deciding if you want to continue staying here."

Spencer seriously looked at the one leading the other group.

"Let's go. There is no point staying here," the leader was able to calm himself and decided to leave.

"Read the news from time to time. Do not only listen to gossip or it will be you who will lose in the end," Spencer reminded them again as they were leaving.

"Make sure they leave the forest," he then said to Aaron.

"Fine, fine."

Aaron used wind to track where the group would be going.

If they are leaving the forest or not.

"That's a bit harsh," Preshea commented.

But she didn't look like she felt bad about it. She was simply commenting on the way they spoke to the other group.

"I'd rather we be hated than be worshiped for being strong," Aaron shrugged.

"..."

"..."

Both Spencer and Richard didn't say anything but their silence was the same as agreeing to what he had said.

"Aren't you the same?" Aaron then asked Preshea.

"I never said I wasn't."

"Once we have settled, start absorbing mana to continue training. We are lagging after that long rest. If things continue like this, we will have to face hell," Spencer then instructed them.

Aaron suddenly clicked his tongue.

"Did they not leave?" Spencer asked him.

"They simply walked around and decided not to believe our words," Aaron threw his hands up.

He didn't like this type of noble. Those who think they are strong despite being weak.

"They did investigate the place and didn't even heed our words. This is why I hate ignorant nobles.," Aaron gritted his teeth.

"Keep an eye on them. We will do what we came here for but we can't leave them alone, either," Spencer told him.

Aaron heavily sighed before nodding his head.

Despite their desire to live differently, everything was already engraved in their bones.

To save and help people.

Something so disgusting they just wanted to puke whenever they felt like helping others.

After that small talk, all five were in a sitting position surrounding the fire they created.

They all had their eyes closed, something that was no longer new to the one named Luna.

The mana coming from the star is something that could be absorbed faster during the night.

They can still do it in the morning but due to the sun, one would have more risk.

The sun is where all energies are coming from.

It contains the purest of energies while the stars and the moon are the medium that will lower the purity of the energy from the sun.

Absorbing even just a drop directly from the sun will cause one to instantly explode.

The purest of all energies could not be contained by humans.

A medium was needed to gain power.

Just as the night deepened, all four of them opened their eyes.

Each stood up and positioned themselves in a fighting position.

"You all remember our mission," Spencer started.

The others nodded their heads.

"High orcs and even white wolves are appearing at the outer area of Antlia Kingdom's side. They are supposed to be in the inner area yet they are here. Our mission is to exterminate them while also trying to understand what is going on."

They nodded their heads towards Spencer.

"Then let's go."

After finishing his words, a group of white wolves walked out of the trees and came into view. Soon on another side came out fifteen high orcs.

Wolves have three levels, gray, white, and black.

Gray-colored wolves are the ones who are in the outer area. White-colored wolves are the ones in the inner area and black-colored ones are in the center.

They are fast and their teeth are sharp. Once beaten, you can only say goodbye to your limb for they can cut off even the bones.

Meanwhile, there are also three levels of orcs.

Orcs, high orcs, and great orcs.

What the orcs have are their strengths and brutality while swinging their clubs.

If the other group were to see them now, they would be shocked.

At this moment, the group of five was fighting the high orcs and white wolves with much more ease than when they were battling the three high orcs earlier today.

It was as if they weren't fighting a while ago.

Instead, if one were to look at them now, they would see that this group was breezing across the number of monsters in front of them.

"No eyes are on us, be sure to attack the monsters with minimal attacks. The one who would kill a monster with the greatest number of attacks will receive punishment," Spencer commanded.

He then pulled out a black orb that could record a video.

As long as one injects mana into it. The orb can record as long as a day, depending on the amount of the injected mana.

"The time limit is ten minutes," he added.

He was referring to the time they are to take down the fifteen high orcs and the pack of wolves that are twenty in number.

If that group were to hear what he said, they would feel like vomiting blood.

The high orcs they are having difficulties with were being belittled by this group.

Spencer's words were clear, as much as possible what they needed to do was to kill these monsters with just one attack.

And if other people were to hear them, even the strongest of knights in Circinus or Antlia Kingdom, they would wonder if these people were crazy.

Fifteen high orcs and twenty white wolves could be defeated in ten minutes when one has twenty knights in their group. And these knights shouldn't only be simple ones, they should be well trained and their ability wielding should be great.

Having this same thought, Aaron couldn't help but chuckle.

"Those proud knights would surely be vomiting blood if they were to hear your words."

'That only means their training was not sufficient enough to defeat these monsters with a smaller number," Spencer replied.

They stopped talking and started attacking instead.

Their movements were much more refined than it was before when they were facing the three high orcs.

They were moving in a way much different than when people were watching them as if not wanting people to see just how much they truly fight.

"I'll have to leave," Aaron suddenly said as he took down his second high orc.

"How many?" was Spencer's first question.

He did not ask why but instead understood instantly that Aaron was referring to the nobles a while ago.

"A pack of white wolves," Aaron replied with gritted teeth.

"No injuries," Spencer said.

Aaron smirked, "Who do you think I am?"

"Go."

Aaron's legs were surrounded by wind before he dashed in another direction.

"Gear up!" Spencer instructed.

*SLASH*

But as he did, Luna's sword beheaded another high orc before rushing and piercing her sword through the top of the head of a white wolf, going down to its chest, and killing it with that attack.

Spencer glanced at her before he continued his attacks.

Richard and Preshea weren't falling behind either.

As what was talked about, they were killing the monsters in one attack. Not even receiving any injuries or even a small wound.

This fight proved their strength and capability in fighting.

Meanwhile, the group a while ago was agape as they watched Aaron fight.

They stubbornly continued roaming the edge of the Dark Forest to gain experience. They were infuriated with how the adventurers treated them despite knowing that they were nobles.

Who would have thought that instead of high orcs, they'd meet a pack of white wolves?

They were on the verge of being defeated when a strong wind suddenly blew and by the time everything settled, they were once again watching one of their saviors fighting against the pack of wolves.
