Chapter 42 - Episode 42: Our Time Has Passed

"Who are you?" she asked them.

Her brows were furrowed completely, her eyes saying that she does not know them.

The fear they were feeling dissipated seeing how genuine her question is.

"Did she hit her head or something?" Kyle pointed at her while looking at Spencer, who was already on his way back to them.

*SLAP*

"Ouch," Kyle held on to his hand that was slapped hard by Luna.

"Who are they?" she asked Spencer after he got close.

"You have already met them," Spencer said to her.

"I don't remember."

"How can you remember when you are asleep during the time that we are with them," Spencer replied, patting his clothes.

Luna looked back at the youths before shrugging. There is nothing else she could do about that since she met them in the timeframe two years where she was sleep-living if there is such a word.

"But why does it seem like they are very scared of me?" after a bit she wondered.

"Well…"

Spencer glanced at Kyle and the rest before looking back at her.

"Do you remember the time we told you that you almost killed someone?"

Luna nodded her head innocently.

Spencer pointed at Kyle with his thumb, "He was the one you almost killed."

She abruptly turned to him while her eyes widened.

She looked back at Spencer, "And I just hit him again!! Based on his appearance, he looks like he is a noble."

"A little duke is his identity."

Luna slapped her face, "Am I a walking disaster right now?"

"Richard's punishment is under his father."

"Just kill me now," her head drooped.

Spencer chuckled before looking back at Kyle, who is still looking confused with his words, just like the others.

"Luna was asleep during the time you spent with us," he stared slowly.

And once again they were in shock.

"She was moving like that while she was asleep?"

"Didn't I tell you guys that our leader is a sleepyhead? But Spencer is indeed good at teaching others?"

All of them once again turned their heads when another voice butted in.

"Brother Aaron!!" Lilian exclaimed.

Eldon glanced at Aaron but did not say anything.

"Hey, I did not expect to see you all here."

"We are from this kingdom. And you met us while trying to train ourselves," Patrick replied.

"I did think you guys could be knights in training but I did not expect that you guys would be part of the trainees that will be under Spencer."

"All knight trainees are being trained in the palace grounds," Patrick said in a matter-of-fact tone.

Aaron shrugged, "I am not from this kingdom."

"Anyway, as I said a while ago. Our leader is a sleepy head," he added noticing that they are already going off the topic.

"Lea… der?"

They turned to Luna and looked at her intently.

Luna took a step back not liking the attention.

"Wha- what is it?" she stuttered.

"Come to think of it. We heard that one of you guys has the ability of the moon," Lilian commented.

They already knew the abilities of the rest of them.

That means there is only one person who could match that description.

And Aaron said that their leader is a sleepyhead, while she was the one sleeping all those times.

Then isn't she the only one?

"I want to spar with you!!!" Kyle's eyes shined brighter as he asked her.

Luna stepped back, not expecting his excitement.

"Ouch!!"

He squatted down while holding onto his forehead.

"Calm down. You have not even gotten over a few of my attacks."

Spencer was the one who flicked a finger on his forehead.

But his words were true. He was stunned at their development.

He did lower the strength he was using as compared to what they showed a while ago to the other knight trainees.

Kyle and the other three responded accordingly that they are starting to get used to his attacks after a few minutes.

"Why?"

Kyle felt like crying, he had been hit left and right without really doing anything wrong.

"Do you think the title of leader is just there as a presentation?" Spencer shook his head.

"At the same time, she is not a good match for you so give it up. Just keep on learning and strengthening yourself for the time being."

Kyle pouted, he no longer wished to say anything more lest he was to be hit again.

"By the way, why are you here?" Spencer looked back at Luna.

"Why are you here first? Didn't you just meet with the princess not so long ago?" Luna turned to Aaron instead.

"Ah…"

Aaron whistled while suddenly enjoying the blue sky's view.

Luna squinted her eyes, "Did you slip away?"

"I did not!!" he instantly reacted causing her to become even more suspicious.

"Well…"

"Aaron…"

Aaron raised both hands, "I can't handle the enthusiasm. She is like these five combined all of a sudden."

Luna shook her head.

"I did leave her an assignment."

"What kind of assignment?"

"Assignment about the wind ability?"

Luna looked at him in a reprimanding manner.

Aaron sighed, "The princess is indeed a talented wind ability user with her abundant mana. Her core is good to hold all of that. But she was so focused on what she can do with her ability without properly learning what wind ability is. How can I teach her how to fly with that? Wouldn't I just put her in danger instead?"

Luna sighed as well, "You are a playful one, will she be fine?"

"Who do you think of me? Born yesterday, I can teach her just fine."

"If you can then why do you leave her to research about wind ability all on her own?"

"She can do that!!"

"Oh yeah? I wonder when she will fall asleep."

"The princess shouldn't be sleeping during her lessons."

"That is only true if the teacher is present."

"Why can't she be responsible enough? She should not sleep even if the teacher is not present."

"But I wonder if the king will visit her to check on how are things only to see her sleeping atop her book while he could not see the teacher around?"

"!!!"

Aaron wanted to rebuke again but he was unable to do so. Her words made sense.

If the king suddenly arrives, how will he take responsibility? Will his punishment increase?

"I guess, we won't be leaving this place at the same time," Luna even shook her head.

She even sighed heavily looking like it can't be helped.

"You-!!! Argghh fine!!! I am going back. That princess, must not be sleeping during her studies. How can she submit her assignment if, in the first place, she couldn't even begin? And why would she want to learn how to fly when she is lacking that much when it comes to her knowledge about her ability? This is making me frustrated."

Aaron grumbled as he walked away, obviously going back to where the princess was.

Luna watched him leave triumphantly.

"What just happened?" Lilian asked.

"Aaron is indeed a playful one. Unless it is about fights or physical work, it is difficult to make him stay in one place. It just so happens that he was placed under the princess to help train her on her ability. He would get bored so easily like that," Spencer explained.

"Simply telling him to go back with the authority of a leader won't make him return. I mean, he knows when he was being made to go back seriously or when Luna is making him do something. But that is only when he did something wrong. The only way to make him do something he didn't like without using her authority is to challenge him in such a way."

The four of them looked at Luna differently once again.

They did not expect that she was this type of person when she woke up. After all, meeting her sword at such a close distance was truly scary they only think that she is a scary person.

Luna looked back at Spencer, "I am hungry already. Let's go eat."

"Can we eat with you?" Lilian asked.

"Shall we then? And while we're at it, can you tell me the ins and outs of this kingdom? Coming here so suddenly and being put at work, we barely had the time to understand the place," Luna agreed.

It was already convenient enough since she was looking for a way to understand this place more.

She and Lilian walked ahead, followed by Kyle and Patrick.

"She is the one, isn't she," Eldon suddenly said to Kyle.

"What do you mean?"

"The one you hurt. The reason why you seem to understand me so well."

Spencer's eyes shifted before chuckling in defeat. He was already caught, there's no point in denying it when surely one day he will know as well.

"She is the one indeed."

"And you love her," Eldon went straight to the point.

"Don't you have any filter in your mouth?" Spencer raised his brow at him.

Eldon shrugged, "But you don't look like you have plans on taking another step towards that feeling of yours."

"Don't act like an adult, kid," Spencer laughed at the curve ball he suddenly threw at him.

"You are just two years older than we are."

Spencer shook his head before looking back at Luna.

"Our time has passed."
